In 2022, the world-famous Silverstone Rally School, located opposite the iconic Silverstone Grand Prix circuit, celebrated 40 years of coaching rally drivers from all over the world.

The school has evolved over the 40 years from being a pure rear wheel drive MK2 Ford Escort rally school, to providing rear, front and four-wheel drive tuition, corporate days and experiences. Most recently, the school has added an off-road experience, stunt experience and our Formula 1000 junior training programme for 14 to 17-year-olds.

The school runs a Rally Team for junior and senior drivers, providing a ladder of opportunity for aspiring drivers or students simply wanting to experience the thrills and excitement of competing in a rally.

Students from Silverstone Rally School have gone on to do many amazing things from winning WRC rallies through to appearing in films screened globally, using skill sets honed at the rally school. The school’s Managing Director, David Paveley, a former professional rally driver, personally oversees the syllabus and training techniques deployed at the school.

The team at Silverstone Rally School is managed by Michael Stanley who possesses a huge amount of experience from the world of motorsport. “Silverstone Rally School has a broad portfolio of experiences that we offer to local through to global companies, and an ever-growing range of vehicles to teach techniques for stunt driving through to International Rally, via auto test and rallycross.”

Our Managing Director Dan Chester, started out in motorsport at the age of 14 racing Mini's in Oval Racing. In recent years he has competed in Autocross, Autotest, Drifting and was Forest RWD Champion in 2023 and Welsh Champion in 2024. When Dan isn't supporting our Rally team here at Silverstone, Dan is regularly Rallying himself and is also a qualified Stunt Driver having done his training through Silverstone. Dan is also the owner of Dans Actions Vehicles a business where he supplies and drives vehicles to the TV, film industry and media industry.
