Ok It's here what youve all been waiting for The Silverstone Youth Academy.  Does your kid/youth have an interest in cars and keep driving you mad!!  Let them develope their driving skills here at our world famous venue!!!  This is for those who seriously have the desire to take up motorsport as a hobby!!!

Rally driving is a costly hobby but we have tried our best to put something together that is affordable to most parents.    We would love to talk to you and we would be most happy to discuss the finer details with you of this first of its kind comprehensive programme.  Please pick up the phone and ask as many questions as you like.  Our staff are very friendly and are here to help and will not put you under any pressure as we do understand this is a big commitment for any parent but very worthwhile!!

Driving in dual controlled cars we will teach your  kids  the basic functions of driving initially but as they pass through the colour coded passports they will learn rally driving techniques until eventually they will be able to compete in the silverstone cup!!!  The progression through the passports will be different for each individual as some will learn quicker than others.  You will also take your test to get your rally driver licence which is included in the academy package!!!!

We envisage the academy to progress as the beginners become intermediate and the intermediate become more advanced!!!.

The minimum age for the academy will be 11 years upto 16 but there will also be a minimum height restriction of 4ft 6 inches  Kids will be put into age groups.  This starts in 2010 with the first days training in February 2010.  Registration is being taken now and the limited availability is going fast!!!  The is a rolling Academy and you will be able to become a member at any time providing we have the places available.

The cost of the academy is £1200 for 6 full day sessions taking place every two months.  You can pay by paying all up front or by paying an intial £100 and then by paying £100 per month on standing order for 11 months from February. 

To register your interest either phone the school and give your initial payment of £100 or payment in full of £1200 or book and pay on line but a registration form must then be completed.  Limited Places.  The package also includes the cost of getting your rally driver licence Bars Test which is normally £180 - but to all Academy members it is included in the academy price.

This would make a super Christmas gift.  We will also be offering kids one off driving experiences the details of which will be coming soon!!!!! 

Parents will be expected to sign an indemnity.  It is envisaged that the academy will continue on each year to progress the driving skills and to become a major hobby for each registered individual to the club.



Please note that the first academy session starts in February but you can join at any time of the year providing we have the space.  To book and pay on line you have to click on 1st of February when you get to the booking page.  This does not mean that the first session is then as all training dates are to be advised.
