Juniors are able to compete in rallies from the age of 14 subject to meeting the criteria to pass the BARS (British Association Of Rally Schools) licence Assessment.
However we are able to equip young drivers with the relevant amount of training prior to the age of 14. juniors can join the Silverstone Rally School Youth Academy from the age of 10 to get constant regular training. This training encompassess everything a junior would need to learn to be able to rally.
No prior driver experience is required but of course any experience helps. Training initially will be in front wheel drive vehicles but as the junior matures other drives of vehcile may be introduced.
Once a junior has a licence there are a number of rallies throughout the country that you can enter as a junior with your national stage B junior rally licence. You will need also to join the junior rally driving club associated with the junior rally championship and ahere to their rules and regulations.
If a junior was interested in rally driving we would recommend that they come and have ago by booking one of our junior experiences.
